From Backyard to Oasis: How We Created Our Dream Outdoor Retreat
Sometimes the best home projects start with a simple idea. For us, it started with a vision: transforming an unused section of our backyard into a relaxing outdoor oasis where we could unwind, enjoy the evenings, and spend more time outside. Like most projects, it began with a little preparation. Giving Our Boxwood a New Home One of the first tasks was relocating a boxwood shrub that was already growing in the area where we planned to build the deck. Rather than removing it entirely, we decided to save it and give it a new home. We purchased a planter from Lowe's, but there was one problem—it wasn't the color we wanted. Before planting, we gave the planter a fresh coat of paint to better match the look we envisioned for the space.
